  I've been using First Step Home Inspectors for the past 7-8 years, possibly even longer, with five inspections within the past month or two. The experience has always been great until today, my experience turned exceptional.

I requested an inspection on a Sunday, and they managed to fit us in early Monday morning to accommodate a quick close. Joe, the inspector, arrived at 10:30 AM and discovered that the water had been turned off because the seller hadn’t paid the bill. This was a condo in an HOA. Joe took the initiative to call the HOA water company and convinced them to turn the water back on, allowing the inspection to proceed without significant delay. Most inspectors would have packed up and moved on to their next inspection.

His inspection was thorough and took several hours. His report was thorough and very detailed with lots of pictures and explanations for the issues he found.
Matt went above and beyond and saved me several thousand dollars when he identified a root issue. The homeowner was notified of the issue and had it fixed before closing.
